GURU

Been to GURU this weekend and I felt that the movie was worth the money and time…one of the very few movies that are like that. Abhishek and Ash rock the screen with their really matured performance and …not to mention…the couple is amazing. Madhavan and Vidya Balan look good, though Vidya does not have any major role in the movie(expect for creating sympathy). Mithun Chakraborthy is at his all time best. This is the first time I have liked his acting. Don’t have words to talk about the direction and music. Its just excellent. The only disappointment is the moral of the story…or rather the lack of it. The final conclusion, one can draw from the movie is that, you can do any amount of ‘dadagiri’, corruption and sleaze, say a few good phases in front of the public and get away with it. But of course, the courage, determination and fortitude that GURU demonstrates all through out the movie is staggering. Overall a good movie and worth a watch in a theater.
